Description
Tosa refers to the historical region in Japan that is now part of Kochi Prefecture on the island of Shikoku. This area has a long tradition of producing high-quality charcoal. These binchotan pieces are cut in whole for long lasting burning time.
The Kamitosa Tokudai Maru burns at a very high temperature, making it ideal for grilling or cooking delicate foods that require consistent, strong heat. It burns very cleanly, with little to no smoke, making it preferable for use indoors or in environments where smoke is a concern. The density and high quality of the wood allow it to burn for long periods, making it efficient for cooking or heating.
