To use, remove the inner white bowl and pour water into the black outer konro base. Fill the inner bowl with charcoal over a direct flame until the charcoal is burning, then replace the inner bowl into the outer konro. The water acts as an insulating layer, keeping the exterior of the konro cool while preventing cracking, burning and scorching of wooden surfaces.
